Working Principle

• The valve is normally closed when the medium pressure is within set value
• When medium pressure increases, the diaphragm is pushed upwards
• Valve stem moves upwards accordingly
• Medium then flows out of the valve, make the pipeline pressure reduces
• The diaphragm is pushed back by the air pressure in upper chamber
• The diaphragm keeps moving downwards until the valve is closed
